With Neuschwanstein Castle, Ludwig II created one of the most impressive castles in Europe. Built against a picturesque mountain backdrop on a craggy rock, it combines Western architecture and the poetic world of the Middle Ages. A visit to this UNESCO World Heritage Site is certainly a very special highlight.

After visiting Neuschwanstein, the tour continues to Oberammergau, which has become world-famous thanks to the Passionsspiele (passion play) and has all sorts to offer. After a short photo and shopping stop, the tour takes you to Linderhof Castle. The ‘Royal Villa’ is the only palace of the fairytale king that was completed during his lifetime. Also recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it impresses with its magnificent gardens. Then it's back to Munich.
